Nice article on NBA, I'm thinking replacing "The" with "Los" and adding it to the jersey is more of a Cinco de Mayo thing than a immigration law fashion statement.  They should went all out Los Sol (had to look up Spanish word for sun).

Lil Penny and Spike discuss making a movie

Lou Adler...The guy that sits next to Jack

Record Producer, Manager, Movie Director and Founder of Dunhill and Ode Record labels (he sold Dunhill Records in 1967 for 3 million). He produced songs for Sam Cooke, Carole King and several other acts from the 60's and 70's. He is also the winner of two Grammys for his production.

I saw Idan's story on an episode of Real NBA, I knew he was a lawyer turned sought-after trainer to NBA stars without any paid basketball experience.  After a quick search I found a Wall Street Journal article on Ravin and his story is even more amusing.  As a stress reliever he started coaching a boys YMCA basketball team.  Soon he began working out a few college players that he knew using the drills he created for his 12 year old players.  His break came when college star Steve Francis came to one of his workouts.  Now for the interesting part, Ravin is definitely not in this for the money because he's sometimes paid for his services with food or sneakers. To supplement his income he operates a group of ethnic dating sites from his laptop including Ethiopian Personals and Eligible Greeks, seriously.  Read the full article (here).

Crab Dribble Revisted

A crab dribble is when the dribbler has their back to a defender and dribbles the ball between their feet with step-slide footwork, it's used by perimeter players to protect the ball and by post players to back down their defender.

Lebron ironically called a move where he decided to maneuver his way around Wizard defenders like Barry Sanders while opting to not take any dribbles at all, his Crab Dribble.  It has since been used interchangeably with traveling.

Dwayne at His Worst

In Last nights loss Dwayne Wade led all scorers with 34 points but in the final seconds he turned into Mr. Softy again (see below video of Dwayne Wade's who couldn't walk after injuring his shoulder).  He missed the potential game winning shot (a 3-pointer with the game tied) and on his descent his foot landed on Ray Allen's foot and he caught a cramp (not a twisted ankle?).  He had to be carried off the court and sat out on the final defensive possession where Paul Pierce drained the game winning jumper.  Now Sunday's loss could be Dwayne Wade's last game as a Heat player.

Yet Another Former NBA Player is Broke

Former NBA player Derrick Coleman one of the biggest draft bust of all-time according to Sports Illustrated recently filed for bankruptcy.  Coleman's balance sheet has lost equilibrium, his assets which include a Bentley, and five fur coats are listed at $1 million but he has $4.6 million in debt.

Sadly his business deals in his hometown Detroit haven't been successful. Coleman owes between 50 and 99 creditors, including Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, American Express, Comerica, Sprint, Verizon, Hungry Howie's Pizza and Nike (source).
